Stone House

view.   inviting.   craft.

The Stone House’s owners love wine, Japanese maple trees, and weaving. We planned their home around these interests as well as the surrounding mountain and valley views. The home is designed with a large open floor plan that can be arranged to accommodate both daily life with a family of two and large wine-tasting parties. A wine cellar and tasting kitchen support the extensive entertaining the owners enjoy. Deep overhangs extend a visual link to the outside and shade the two-story glass. Local stone was used for the exterior cladding and extensive landscaping.

The second floor consists of a large weaving studio with ample natural light and an office that will easily convert to a suite for a live-in home healthcare professional if ever needed.
