The Barn

simple.   fresh.   modern.

Inspired by monitor barn vernacular, we designed a modern stone and board and batten home set into a wooded lot. Clerestory windows and an open floor plan allow for maximum light and flexibility. A large screened porch, open deck and on-grade patio create a variety of opportunities to connect with the outdoors.

This project was a true collaboration with the homeowner, who is an interior designer and former bed and breakfast owner. Working side by side, we went from design charrette to construction documents in six weeks.
